The story behind South West Bridal Hair & Make-up
South West Bridal Hair and Make-up was born in 2015 when make-up artists Emily and hair stylist Stacey, decided to combine their skills and collaborate to produce a place brides are able to book a complete bridal beauty team. Having spent years recommending each other they combined their experience and skills to offer a one stop shop for bridal hair and make up.
We have carefully chosen the team for both skill, technique and personality. We understand how important it is to have someone you can feel comfortable with, but will also keep you calm and support you through the most exciting and nerve wracking day of your life. Stacey has sinced moved on to focus on her own endeavours, but Emily is very much at the helm and dedicates her working life to the success of the team.
Having a hair and make-up team that know each other and have worked together previously is a real bonus on your wedding day and the familiarity will help to ensure everything runs according to plan.

Emily will look after your booking from beginning to end and as part of the service will happily create a personal schedule for your special day, thinking through each aspect to make sure you're not rushed.
South West Bridal Hair and Make-up covers Bristol and the South West, but will travel further afield if required. We are very happy to be mobile and come to you for your wedding day. We are now recommended suppliers at venues such as Berwick Lodge, Folly Farm, Coombe Lodge, North Cadbury Court and The Mount Without, to name a few.
A bit about us...
South West Bridal Hair and Make-up is now run by Emily and her husband Tom. Emily spent the first 10 years of her professional career in television, looking after 7 figure budgets, contracts, and talent. Attention to detail was part of her day job. But had been working as a make-up artist as a side hustle all the way along. When she left television to focus on her make-up career she knew something was missing... admin!! She loves it, sad but true.

When Stacey and Emily set up this business, it was always the intention that Emily would look after the admin. So in short Emily's your coordinator for your hair and make-up booking. Any problems, questions or support, Emily's your woman. Emily's worked on well over 650 weddings, and really knows the industry and the people in it, very well. We also have the utmost respect for our team, they're wives, mothers, sisters and daughters and our friends. We know you're in good hands with them.
Tom comes from a background in logistics. Working in the world of shipping goods. But it's very much a thankless task and we came to realise there's more to life than doing a job you don't love. So we've joined forces and Tom's now working on our SEO, marketing and improving the client experience. Alongside sharing the childcare and household duties! So lovely for the children to have both of us at home.
We have two children, Alex and Heidi. We run the business from our home in Somerset. Emily's an avid reader with her kindle never very far away. 90's pop is her guilty pleasure and she likes to relax by baking. Bread, muffins, tray bakes, you name it, She'd have made it. Emily has lived in the Bristol area for 20 years but in 2023 we relocated to Minehead, in West Somerset, to rejoin our wonderful family. We're very lucky to run a business that we can operate from anywhere (as long as there's WiFi), so even if we're on holiday, we're still on hand to help you, if a drama arises.
We like to feel that even though you probably won't meet us, we've played a small part in helping your wedding go like clockwork.
