South West Bridal Hair and Make-up was recently awarded ‘Bridal Make-up Specialist of the Year 2024’ at the English Hair and Beauty Awards. This is a huge accolade for our business, as we were up against some tough competition, with businesses in our category ranging in area from Cornwall to London. Our team of award winning make-up artists are a hugely talented bunch, with a wide variety of skills and are forever refreshing their knowledge with training and upgrading their kits with the most sought after products. Winning this award has really boosted our confidence in knowing our hard work hasn't gone unnoticed.

South West Bridal Hair and Make-up is no ordinary hair and make-up business. We solely focus on weddings. It’s what we do, it’s what we know and it’s what we love. 

My team of 32 artists and stylists are specifically trained in the field of bridal hair and make-up, meaning we can offer a really high standard of service to our brides, not in just our hair and make-up skill but also our organisation and understanding of what is needed to make sure a wedding morning goes without a hitch. We can also save a bride shopping around, with a range of skill sets on offer and we cover Bristol, Somerset, Wiltshire, Bath, Gloucestershire, South Wales, Cornwall, Devon and the Cotswolds. 

I chat with our clients to find out what they’re looking for and pair them with an artist / stylist that is both local and suits their style and personality, which is actually just as important. 

South West Bridal Hair and Make-up celebrates 9 years of business this year and I personally have been working in the wedding industry for 15 years, so we really do bring with us a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Each and every client is handled personally by me. I’m their dedicated coordinator for hair and make-up, often rounding up a team of 4 or more stylists and artists to cater for large wedding parties and to avoid that horrible early start. I create a wedding morning plan for the day, coordinating both hair and make-up, whether both are booked via us or not and I check in with the team before the wedding date to ensure they’re good to go. No no-shows here!! 

I also take full control should the unthinkable happen and an artist is ill or unable to attend for an unforeseen circumstance, with wedding mornings covered before the bride even knew there was an issue. I take pride in providing a service that not only reassures the client that they’re in safe hands but also provides some insurance that should something go wrong, I’ll handle it for you and take the stress away. 

As a make-up artist myself I regularly work directly with my team, supporting them and enjoying the atmosphere a wedding morning provides.
