TERMS AND CONDITIONS

TRAVEL

Travel expenses will be charged from your stylist / artist's location, and will be charged at £1 per mile to your wedding / trial destination, charged one way only. Parking and toll charges will be added to your final bill if applicable.

PAYMENTS

• A 20% booking fee will be taken to secure your booking. This will be calculated from the mutually agreed quote. Booking fees are payable by bank transfer. Booking fee payments are required to confirm and secure your booking. Booking fees are non-refundable as they cover the costs incurred for providing you with your booking, including administration time. The fee also secures your wedding day, without this, the date may be offered to other interested parties. Please note if you cancel a member of your bridal party, the 20% booking fee relating to the service booked for this person will be lost. Please consider this when booking in your stylists and artists.

• Trial fees are due no less than 48 hours prior to your trial date, via bank transfer. Cancellations of trials after this time are non-refundable.

• Payments beyond the booking fee will be dealt with directly by your stylist / artist, you will be sent a contract quoting all final fees payable. If payments are not made by the dates specified in the contract then late payment fees may be charged. If payments are not made by the date of the booking then we reserve the right to cancel our services. 

• Payments paid by bacs should use your name and wedding / event date as a reference

• False eyelashes are included in our pricing unless expressed otherwise.

• Final balances are due to your make-up artist / stylist no less than 4 weeks before your wedding / event. If payments are not received prior to the wedding date then we are under no obligation to attend your wedding.

• Due to high demand we have a minimum spend for on the day charges. Friday, Saturdays and Sundays the minimum spend is £300. Monday - Thursday minimum spend is £250

• Quotes are valid for 30 days, from the date sent.

• If you add on a service on the day and the artist can accommodate this, then full payment is due on the day. Please agree this directly with your artist

• Wedding / event bookings on public bank holidays will also have a minimum spend of £300.

• If you book with us less than 4 weeks before your wedding date, then the full balance will be due as soon as your booking fee is paid.

• If you require a video call or phone call to talk through requirements, please note this will be charged at £20 per 30 mins.

Additional charges

Waiting charges

• Waiting charges apply for every 30 mins an artist is required to stay beyond their booked working time (45 mins per head / 1 hour for the bride/ + 15 mins set and 15 mins pack up). £20 per 30 mins of waiting time. This will be added to your final balance if notified prior to the day, or will be invoiced retrospectively if time is added on on the day without warning.

Veil Fitting

• If a stylist is required to wait more than 30 mins beyond their allotted working time (45 mins per head / 1 hour for the bride/ + 15 mins set and 15 mins pack up), to fit a veil then a waiting charge of £20 per 30 mins will be added to your contract. This will be added to your final balance if notified prior to the day, or will be invoiced retrospectively if time is added on on the day without warning. We recommend you discuss when your veil will be applied with your stylist on your trial to avoid any unexpected waiting charges. 

Additional work time for more complex hair styles

• Hollywood waves and some other more complex hair styles require additional time, for setting hair, and or fitting and prepping extensions. If the style you desire requires more than 1 hour of styling time then £25 per 30 mins of additional work time will be added to your bill. This will be discussed with you after your trial, at the point we know that to create the desired style, more time is needed. Please note Hollywood waves cannot be requested by bridesmaids / guests unless pre-agreed with your stylist. 

Early start charges

• If you require your hair and make-up team to arrive before 7am then a £20 per hour fee will be added. I.e a 4am arrival would incur a £60 early start fee.

 Move fee

• When you require your hair and make-up team to move venues with you, a charge will be added in increments of £20 per 30 mins. Any additional mileage will also be added on.

CHANGING YOUR BOOKING

• Changes to your booking by adding another person on to your original booking can only be accepted if time / resources allow on your wedding / event day and will require prior notice. 

• Should you wish to reduce your numbers less than 4 weeks before your wedding / event then the original quoted price will still be payable.

Cancelling YOUR BOOKING less than 4 weeks prior to your booking date

• If you cancel your booking, or part of your booking with any member of the team less than 4 weeks before your wedding / event date then the full remaining balance is due. 

Cancelling YOUR BOOKING less than 8 weeks prior to your booking date

• If you cancel your booking or part of your booking with any member of the team less than 8 weeks before your wedding / event date 50% of the remaining cancelled balance is due.

Cancelling in the case of a global pandemic

• If you are forced to cancel (not postpone) your wedding / event due to a global pandemic, and the date of your wedding / event falls during a government lockdown period, meaning legally your wedding / event cannot go ahead, then all payments made beyond the booking fee and trial are refundable. Trial payments and booking fees remain non-refundable due to work being undertaken equating to these amounts.

IF WE NEED TO CANCEL YOUR BOOKING

• In the unlikely event that we need to cancel our services and no other team member can attend your event, all payments made beyond the trial would be immediately refundable.

• If the booking is directly affected by circumstances beyond the control of South West Bridal Hair and Make-up, every possible endeavour to rectify such situations will be made, however no compensation will be offered on South West Bridal Hair and Make-up’s part. The client is strongly advised to take out wedding insurance to cover against such situations.

POSTPONING YOUR WEDDING

• If you need to postpone your wedding / event with us, then provided the team member you chose is free and the new date is within 12 months of your original date then no further charges will be added to your booking 

• If you need to postpone your wedding / event more than 12 months from your original date then inflation charges / a new booking fee will apply.

• If you need to postpone your wedding / event and your original chosen team member isn’t free then we would endeavor to cover this with another team member. Please note travel charges may change and would be payable by you. If you don’t want to go ahead with a different team member then this would be classed as a cancellation. (Please see cancellation terms).

MISCELLANEOUS 

• As part of the service we can create a custom made wedding morning schedule for your day to incorporate both hair and make-up. Please communicate directly with Emily to request this.

• Photographs and notes will be taken on the date of the trial in order to keep a clear record of your chosen look. 

• If any of your bridal party, wedding guests, or other wedding vendors display abusive or offensive behaviour or make any of the South West Bridal Hair and Make-up team feel uncomfortable in any way, we reserve the right to terminate the contract without refund.
