Our favourite South West venues... does yours make the cut?

Updated: Nov 1, 2023

So I asked my team for their favourite South West venues, it's always really interesting to hear everyone's differing responses and opinions. We tried our best not to be swayed by whether they have a lift or not!! Haha! If you know, you know!

Jen's choices...

Old Down Estate - the views overlooking the severn bridge while having your make-up done are breath taking. Watch out for the peacock, it may attempt to steal your lime light though...

The Roman Baths - An evening wedding here, is the epitome of glam and drama

Leanne's choices...

Euridge Manor - it's so beautiful and really different venue with rustic elements but also a manor house. But the undenying jewel in its crown is the boating lake, a photographer's dream.

Cripps Barn - it's intimate, with a rustic, gothic feel. Leanne loves what you can do with the flower installations, and it's perfect for a winter wedding.

Charlotte's choices...

Coombe Lodge - The elegance of Bridgerton, and walled gardens with the entrance of a bond movie. The views of the valley are flawless all year round.

North Cadbury Court - for it's grandeur, beautiful grounds, and oodles of natural light and space to enjoy your bridal prep with all your party. What's more it has a private pool, great for a little early morning dip.

Jadie's choice -

Clevedon Hall - the bedrooms at Clevedon Hall are absolutely stunning and make the perfect backdrop for your bridal prep photos and you must order their breakfast platter to keep those tummies full, it's epic! The orangery is, bright and light, and the perfect setting for your wedding breakfast.

Emily's choices...

Quantock Lakes - Nestled on the edge of the Quantock Hills, this is an absolute gem. The accommodation on site rivals all others in a 100 mile radius. It truely is epic and jaw dropping and a wonderful place to enjoy your bridal prep with all the family around you. The jetty leading out of over the lake is the most perfect place for those intimate couple shots.

Folly Farm - This 'eco' venue takes looking after the planet really seriously. If this aligns with you then you have to check out this gorgeous setting. The outside space for ceremonies has a breath-taking view over Bristol and you're guaranteed to be well looked after by their very attentive and lovely staff.

Lorna's choice...

Elmore Court - The house and grounds are pristine, kept so beautifully chic with a modern twist, yet in keeping with the period of the building. The staff are really friendly and accommodating. They will move your car, your equipment on room changes and can't do enough to make the day special for the bride and convenient for the suppliers.

Berwick Lodge - One of our most visited venues. The most idyllic place for an elopement with secluded spots for the most special photos. Situated just on the outskirts of Bristol, its very easy to get to too.

Sarah's choice -

Upton Barn - It's hard not to love this venue, coming from the perspective of a makeup artist. The getting ready area is to die for, a salon like space, that over looks fields. If you've not seen it yet, have a look on their website.

There are so many other favourite venues we could have mentioned, it's like forgetting one of your children, but St Audries Park, Tortworth Court, Eastington Park and Aldwick Estate should definitely get a mention too!

Who have we missed that you think should make the short list?
